My film-making interest started in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England when I joined a film club there and as a member learnt various skills by working on other member’s independent 16mm film productions.

I subsequently got £10,000 financing from Yorkshire Arts Association to finance my own short film “Just A Spring Chicken.”

I studied Film & Television on BA (Hons) degree course at the London College of Printing (now called the London College of Communication, a part of the University of the Arts London). I then attended the National Film & Television School in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, England and studied Film Directing.

My attendance was financed by the BBC and Channel 4 who provided the money for me to make my next short film “Fish out of Water”.

My film career took a detour when I relocated back to Jamaica in 1987 but resumed again, three years later, when I worked as Producer/Director at CPTC ((Directing a Jamaican historical drama epic on location in Jamaica for CPTC TV circa 1990. That”s me 2nd from left liaising with producer Carey Robinson.)) ((There I am, again, checking a shot before a take on the same production.)) for two years.

I now intend to concentrate on making more films and am currently compiling ideas to work on.
